Obtaining a License

INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE

International driving license validates for 1 year, but it validates for 30 days following Georgia state law. Also, you need to carry with the license which is issued from previous country (Korea).

1.Requirement to get license in Georgia

  • Identification: Birth certificate/ citizenship certificate of registration/ permanent residency/ passport (that can prove legal stay)
  • International driving license/ license that is issued from another country (Korea)
  • Proof of legalstay: permanent residence/ I-94
  • Proof of residency: you need two of the documents described below, but it should be original document or notarial document which published within 45 days. Bill such as electricity, phone, water service, etc…/ bank statement/ house rent contract/ residence confirmation/ parent’s, husband’s (or wife’s), or guardian’s driver’s license

2.Commission: $20 (5 years), $35 (10 years) Cash, money order, check, or credit card

3.Testing subject: eyesight test (corrected eyesight above 20/60), written test (regulations and signals), driving test
